Razorfish in Plano, TX is seeking an Associate Creative Director to help lead creative development for a large, high-profile energy client. This role balances hands-on concepting with day-to-day direction of designers, writers, and junior creatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong narrative instincts, client-facing confidence, and the ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling work across digital, social, video and email.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Creative Writing or Advertising.
• 7–9 years total experience with at least 3 in an agency.
• Strong portfolio with conceptual thinking and integrated campaigns.
• Copy- or content-led background; strong visual leadership.
• Experience mentoring or managing creative talent in agencies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, collaboration and client-facing skills.
• Experience across digital, social, video, events, email, and brand channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative development for assigned workstreams, translating briefs and business objectives into strong concepts and polished creative executions.
• Provide day-to-day direction, feedback, and mentorship to designers, writers, and junior creative talent.
• Contribute hands‑on creative thinking, writing, storytelling, and/or visual direction depending on project needs.
• Partner with Creative Directors, strategy, account, content, production, and project management teams to move work from concept through execution.
• Present work clearly and confidently to internal partners and clients, articulating creative rationale and strategic alignment.
• Guide teams through feedback, iteration, and execution while maintaining quality, consistency, and momentum.
• Support integrated creative needs across brand, advocacy, podcast, digital, social, video, newsletters, email, events, and always‑on communications.
• Help create a collaborative, high‑performing team culture that encourages strong ideas, accountability, and creative growth.
