Job description

Now Brewing – senior associate creative director, Creative Studio (Hybrid - U.S.)! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

We are seeking an inspiring and visionary Senior Associate Creative Director (Sr ACD) for our in-house Creative Studio. Leverage your deep background in advertising, art direction and graphic design to bring the Starbucks brand to life in innovative ways. The Sr ACD leads internal teams and external agencies in the development of complex and wide-ranging omni-channel creative executions. The ACD brings an inspiring team-first attitude and is equally comfortable pitching concepts and guiding the ideas of others into brilliant and impactful creative assets.

As a senior associate creative director, you will…

  • Help to shape the creative vision and goals for advertising at Starbucks
  • Lead creative concepting and execution, ensuring a cohesive and elevated brand expression across channels and platforms.
  • Guide the work of agency partners and internal teams in campaign concepting, execution and production
  • Provide creative direction and oversight across multiple disciplines—video, animation, copy, graphic design, art direction, digital experiences and more
  • Present creative work to internal teams, cross-functional partners, and executives– clearly articulating creative vision and strategic foundations.
  • Serve as a leader within our in-house Creative Studio, cultivating a strong team culture, and inspiring creative excellence
  • Manage a team of direct reports overseeing their day-to-day workload and guiding their growth and development

We’d Love To Hear From People With

  • 8+ years progressive experience in design/marketing/advertising at an agency or in-house studio
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, advertising or equivalent job-related experience
  • A multi-faceted portfolio showcasing high quality creative expertise across a variety of mediums and channels within branding, advertising, social media, product, corporate comms, etc.
  • A comprehensive understanding of omnichannel marketing and cultural/industry trends
  • Strong people skills: able to lead and motivate creative individuals and teams
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Please submit a portfolio as part of your application

As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation from date of hire*, sick time (accrued at 1 hour for every 25 hours worked), eight paid holidays, and two personal days per year. Additionally, Starbucks offers 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and access to other educational opportunities. You will also have access to backup care and DACA reimbursement. Starbucks will comply with any applicable state and local laws regarding employee leave benefits, including, but not limited to providing time off pursuant to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and in accordance with its plans and policies.
