Base pay range

$128,400.00/yr - $214,200.00/yr

The Senior Associate Creative Director leads internal teams and external agencies in developing merchandise collections and creating product and art concepts across various channels and markets. The ACD fosters a team-first attitude and is comfortable pitching ideas and guiding others to develop impactful creative assets. They leverage their background in trend, design, branding, and retail to bring the Starbucks brand to life innovatively, ensuring consistency and effectiveness for our customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading creative concepting, art direction, and execution for merchandise design, ensuring cohesive brand expression across channels
  • Providing clear and constructive creative feedback to inspire teams and agencies
  • Developing impactful presentations demonstrating strategic and creative vision
  • Presenting work to internal teams, partners, and executives, articulating creative rationale
  • Collaborating with project managers to strategize and meet deadlines
  • Seeking opportunities to enhance the brand
  • Collaborating with leadership to improve processes and workflows
  • Managing a team of direct reports, overseeing their workload and growth

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in design, marketing, or advertising, either in an agency or in-house
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing high-quality work across mediums, especially merchandise design, branding, and social media
  • Understanding of omnichannel marketing and industry trends
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of 3D rendering programs and industrial design is a plus; familiarity with fashion trends is also a plus
