Job description

Our client, a highly regarded international investigations and intelligence consultancy, is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to its Washington, DC team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investigations professional with significant exposure to Latin America (LATAM). The successful candidate will work across complex corporate investigations, litigation support and corporate intelligence assignments for multinational corporations, law firms, financial institutions and investors.

The Role

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in managing and delivering sophisticated cross-border investigations and intelligence projects, with a particular emphasis on Latin America.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting and managing corporate investigations, including fraud, misconduct, corruption, asset tracing and other complex commercial matters.
  • Supporting litigation and disputes, including investigative research, evidence gathering, asset identification and intelligence-led litigation support.
  • Delivering corporate intelligence and enhanced due diligence assignments relating to companies, individuals, transactions and investments.
  • Undertaking complex open-source and public-record research, particularly across Latin American jurisdictions.
  • Developing intelligence through a combination of documentary research, analytical techniques and appropriately sourced human intelligence.
  • Assessing corporate structures, ownership, business relationships, reputational issues and political or regulatory exposure.
  • Producing high-quality written reports that clearly communicate findings, analysis and intelligence to clients.
  • Managing multiple workstreams and contributing to projects from initial scoping through to final delivery.
  • Working closely with colleagues across an international network on complex, multi-jurisdictional assignments.
  • Supporting senior colleagues with client relationships, proposals and business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile

Our client is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong professional experience within corporate investigations, business intelligence, disputes/litigation support, forensic investigations or corporate intelligence.
  • Significant experience conducting assignments across Latin America, with a strong understanding of the region’s commercial, political and regulatory environment.
  • Professional fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish; candidates with both languages would be particularly attractive.
  • Excellent investigative research and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working with public records, corporate databases, media sources and other investigative research tools.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn complex information into concise, commercially relevant intelligence.
  • Experience working on sensitive and confidential assignments for sophisticated corporate, legal or financial-services clients.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively within a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • A collaborative, intellectually curious and commercially minded approach.

The position is based in Washington, DC.

Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
