Job summary

Advocates Legal Recruiting represents an AmLaw 100 client seeking a Senior Associate to join a busy copyright transactions practice in New York and other major markets. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements with copyright focus, advise on licensing strategies for digital products, and support DMCA/compliance matters alongside litigators.

The role offers exposure to music, entertainment, and digital media in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with a heavy emphasis on copyright and content rights.
• Advise on business-critical content licenses and licensing strategy across digital products and platforms.
• Support counseling work tied to DMCA and platform/compliance, coordinating with litigators and regulatory lawyers when needed.
• Work with clients across the content stack: rights clearance, catalog builds, data/financial reporting, and user acquisition questions in music/digital media.
