Advocates Legal Recruiting represents an AmLaw 100 client seeking a Senior Associate to join a copyright transactions practice in Los Angeles. The role focuses on negotiating content licenses, copyright rights, and complex technology agreements for digital media and music platforms.

You will advise on business-critical licenses, support DMCA/compliance strategy, and collaborate with litigators and regulatory lawyers while handling end-to-end negotiations for content catalogs and licensing

Qualifications

6+ years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.
Ability to run negotiations and translate business goals into clean paper under deadlines.
Industry familiarity with music, entertainment, digital media, creator economy, content platforms.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with a heavy emphasis on copyright and content rights.
Advise on business-critical content licenses and licensing strategy across digital products and platforms.
Support counseling work tied to DMCA and platform/compliance strategy with litigation/regulatory colleagues as needed.
Work with clients across the content stack: rights clearance, catalog builds, data/financial reporting, and user acquisition decisions.
