Job summary

Invenergy, LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Associate, Community Affairs to lead local outreach and serve as a key contact for county/municipal officials, chambers, and Economic Development Organizations where Invenergy operates. You will manage complex community affairs assignments, contribute to program design, and help position Invenergy as a responsible corporate citizen in local communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5+ years in infrastructure or real estate development, public affairs, communications, government, politics, law, engineering, environment, sustainability, or related fields.
• Experience engaging local officials, boards, chambers, and EDOs.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ and drive as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead local outreach and relationship management with county/municipal officials and economic development bodies.
• Represent projects and Invenergy in meetings with stakeholders and landowners.
• Communicate benefits of projects to host communities and navigate approval processes.
• Develop and implement structured community relations programs for assigned regions.
• Collaborate with Communications, Impact, and Government Affairs teams.
• Mentor junior team members and summarize project impact for external audiences.
