Job description

About the Team & Role

The Liquidity team specializes in financial products — non-recourse financing and secondary sales — for executives and employees at leading pre-IPO companies. We're a client-facing team that works closely with prospects, clients, and investors to guide them through complex private company equity decisions.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage up and wait for direction. We are looking for someone hungry and looking to learn. The Senior Associate who joins the team will have real ownership: over client relationships, over operational processes, and over how the Liquidity business continues to grow. You'll come in with the mindset that you will start contributing to business development from day one while also learning every aspect of our business from end-to-end by managing the operations.

We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in the venture capital and startup ecosystem, the judgment to work through ambiguity, and the drive to take ownership across multiple workstreams. As a small, high-functioning team, everyone here wears many hats, and we want someone who thrives on that.

This is an in-office position based in our New York office in the Financial District of Manhattan.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end client experience: onboarding, contracting, and ongoing relationship management while ensuring every touchpoint is smooth, professional, and builds trust

  • Lead business development efforts within target companies, identifying prospective clients and generating new opportunities in the VC‑backed startup ecosystem

  • Prepare and present materials for client pitch meetings, bringing both product fluency and market perspective to the conversation

  • Drive operational improvements by identifying inefficiencies, lead projects to address them, and build the playbooks and documentation that scale what works

  • Collaborate across the Liquidity team and broader Secfi organization on cross-functional initiatives

Who You Are and What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience at a fintech, asset management firm, or financial services firm

  • A strong understanding of venture backed private company ecosystem

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and build a network — you enjoy working with people and know how to earn their confidence

  • Sharp organizational instincts: you meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and don't let things fall through the cracks

  • A low-ego, high-ownership mentality — you're a team player who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty

  • Commitment to process: you follow best practices, build on them, and leave things better than you found them

Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience at a high-growth VC‑backed company or investment fund

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses (if not currently held, you'll be expected to obtain them in your first year — Secfi provides time and support for study)

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary + bonus

  • Retirement benefits (401k + 5% company contribution)

  • Employee-friendly equity plan

  • Competitive health care plans (100% premium coverage for employees, 75% for dependents)

  • Flexible vacation policy

  • 4 months parental leave for primary caregivers / 4 weeks for secondary caregivers
