The Senior Associate, Capital Markets will support the global BREDS capital markets team in overseeing and managing the liability side of the BREDS investment portfolio. This role involves sourcing, structuring, negotiating, closing, and managing various financing transactions such as credit facilities, loan-on-loan, syndications, and securitizations. It requires interaction with existing and potential financing counterparties and proactive management of tasks like soliciting quotes, drafting and negotiating term sheets, legal documentation, closing, and ongoing liability management.

What You Will Do

1. Develop in-depth knowledge of the US loan financing markets and assist in executing financing strategies for BREDS’s pipeline of loan originations.
2. Maintain strong relationships with existing financing counterparties and develop new relationships.
3. Source financing quotes for various executions, manage outreach to banks, follow up, and evaluate feedback.
4. Prepare materials for marketing transactions.
5. Negotiate financing terms and transactions in coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
6. Assist in transaction execution, including drafting documents and coordinating closings.
7. Manage ongoing transactions, refinancing, amendments, and document analysis.
8. Improve processes for financing data storage, reporting, and tracking.
9. Coordinate across teams in executing responsibilities.

What You Should Have

1. Undergraduate Degree
2. 4-6 years of relevant experience in real estate finance or capital markets.
3. Project management and execution skills.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
6. Strong work ethic, integrity, and deadline management.
7. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities.
8. Experience in mortgage, loan syndications, credit facilities, CMBS, or loan pool financings.
9. Knowledge of key finance documents.
10. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Interest in new technologies for process optimization.
12. High integrity and professionalism.
13. Proficiency in math and Excel.
