About the Role

RSM is seeking a Senior Associate to join our AFC practice, focusing on Capital Markets & Transformative Events. With over 80 years of industry expertise, we help firms across various industries navigate changing economies, new accounting policies, and evolving tax regulations. Our clients include financial services, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and more, with local, national, and international presence.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in engagements providing technical accounting and advisory guidance
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of complex financial accounting concepts
  3. Maintain and develop technical accounting skills using firm resources
  4. Provide high-quality client service, developing work plans and deliverables
  5. Collaborate with engagement managers, partners, and clients
  6. Understand client business and industry trends
  7. Assist in fieldwork, monitoring productivity and schedule adherence
  8. Prepare technical memos and client deliverables
  9. Identify performance improvement opportunities
  10. Work as part of an integrated service team
  11. Recognize opportunities to expand services to clients
  12. Willingness to travel approximately 25%
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in public accounting or financial reporting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with capital market transactions, SEC reporting, SPACs, etc.
  • CPA or similar certification

We consider applicants with criminal records in accordance with applicable laws. Salary ranges from $64,700 to $122,100, depending on various factors. Selected candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
