Job summary

Meadows Staffing Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Audit Associate in Western Massachusetts on a hybrid schedule. You will perform audits for privately held and nonprofit entities, assist in tax work, and contribute to financial statement preparation while working with experienced mentors.

This role emphasizes GAAP application, client service, and professional development within a collaborative public accounting firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA eligible (150 credit hours completed or actively pursuing).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit and assurance engagements for privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.
  • Execute audit testing, prepare workpapers, and document audit findings.
  • Apply GAAP principles and auditing standards throughout engagements.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior team members, managers, and partners.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather information and resolve audit-related questions.
  • Deliver high-quality work while meeting engagement deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual, and other tax returns during tax season.
  • Continue developing technical accounting and auditing knowledge through ongoing training and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with team members while contributing to a positive, professional work environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
