Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution seeks an experienced insurance defense litigator to join its California team. The role involves managing files from inception through resolution, handling strategy, deadlines, and case planning, and taking the lead on depositions and hearings.

Candidates must have strong writing skills and the ability to work with autonomy. Qualified applicants will hold a JD from an accredited law school, possess active California Bar admission, and have 4–8 years of defense litigation

• Manage insurance defense litigation files from inception through resolution, including strategy, deadlines, and case planning.
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions; prepare pleadings and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and work directly with clients and claims professionals.
• Handle hearings, trial preparation, and serve as first chair at trial as needed.
• Assess exposure and support resolution efforts, including settlement negotiations and mediations where applicable.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 to 8 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Trial experience is required, including first-chair experience.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage cases with appropriate autonomy.
