Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution, a confidential California law firm, seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to own strategy, motion practice, and trial prep. This role is for a litigation-focused attorney ready to take first-chair responsibility in court.

Location is California with a hybrid schedule and 2 in-office days per week. Requirements include 4–8 years in insurance defense, CA Bar in good standing, and JD from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense litigation files from inception through resolution, including strategy, deadlines, and case planning.
• Draft and argue motions; prepare pleadings and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and work with clients and claims professionals.
• Handle hearings, trial preparation, and serve as first chair at trial as needed.
• Assess exposure and support settlement negotiations and mediations where applicable.

A confidential California law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to handle active defense-side matters with meaningful ownership of strategy, motion practice, and trial preparation. This is a litigation-only role for an attorney who is comfortable in court and ready to take first-chair responsibility when needed.

THE ROLE

• Manage insurance defense litigation files from inception through resolution, including strategy, deadlines, and case planning.
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions; prepare pleadings and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and work directly with clients and claims professionals.
• Handle hearings, trial preparation, and serve as first chair at trial as needed.
• Assess exposure and support resolution efforts, including settlement negotiations and mediations where applicable.

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location: California.

Schedule: Hybrid, with an in-office expectation of 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4 to 8 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Trial experience is required, including first-chair experience.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage cases with appropriate autonomy.
