Job description

About the Team

The Ad Ops Platform team is part of DoorDash's Ads & Promotions organization. We build the internal tools, automations, and data workflows that help our ad operations and cross-functional teams launch and manage advertising campaigns with greater speed, accuracy, and scale. Our work turns manual, repetitive operational tasks into reliable systems, so the business can grow without adding proportional headcount.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate on the Ad Ops Platform team, you'll be a technical builder who designs and ships the automations, data workflows, and internal tools that make ad operations faster and more accurate. You'll work side by side with operators to find the highest-effort manual processes and replace them with systems you build and own end to end. In your first 90 days, you'll ship your first automations and map out the operational processes with the most room for improvement. Over time, success looks like measurable hours returned to the team, faster and more accurate campaign execution, and a growing set of tools that operators rely on every day.

You will report to the Manager, Ad Ops Platform Strategy on our Ad Ops team in our Ads & Promotions organization.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Build and own automations, data workflows, and internal tools end to end, from spotting the problem to shipping the solution.
  • Partner directly with ad operations to identify the highest-leverage manual work and replace it with reliable systems.
  • Use SQL, scripting, and AI tools to turn messy operational data into fast, accurate, and repeatable processes.
  • See the direct impact of your work in hours saved, errors reduced, and campaigns launched faster.
  • Bring your own ideas for new projects and have the room to experiment and improve how the team operates.
We're excited about you because…
  • You have a demonstrated track record (typically 3+ years) of building automations or tools that eliminated manual work and improved how a team operates.
  • You can write and ship code yourself—using Python, scripting, or similar—rather than only specifying what should be built.
  • You have hands‑on experience building with or applying AI and large language model (LLM) tools to real workflows.
  • You are fluent in SQL and comfortable independently querying and analyzing data to make decisions and measure impact.
  • You have a bachelor's degree and are energized by open-ended, ambiguous problems that you can define, solve, and see through on your own.
