Job summary

KSM Business Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Accounting Advisory group within TAS. The role offers exposure to private equity and corporate clients on accounting advisory engagements, including post-closing activities and CFO-controller support.

You will own workstreams, prepare deliverables, and collaborate with client teams to drive accurate accounting under ASC 805/810, close processes, and reporting. Indianapolis-based with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred or actively pursuing.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot schedules.
• Excellent presentation and analytical abilities; detail-oriented and capable of resolution.
• Strong project execution skills: manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Able to adapt communication style for clients and internal teams.
• Experience in professional accounting services or M&A advisory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned workstreams and deliverables, identifying risks and next steps.
• Support post-closing matters, purchase accounting, and price adjustments.
• Prepare schedules and correspondence for client management discussions.
• Assist with CFO/controller services, close process, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Develop checklists, templates, and management reporting packages (KPIs).
• Coordinate with auditors, lenders, and other stakeholders as needed.
