Job summary

KSM's Accounting Advisory division seeks a Director to lead complex engagements for private equity and corporate clients, emphasizing purchase accounting and ASC 805/810. You will guide open balance sheet matters, purchase price adjustments, and serve as a leader across TAS and the broader firm.

You will mentor the Accounting Advisory team, help shape service offerings, and collaborate with market-facing activities to drive growth, delivering high-quality client service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in audit or other financial reporting roles.
• Strong technical accounting background to resolve complex matters independently.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 805 and ASC 810.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting advisory engagements for private equity and corporate clients, focusing on purchase accounting and opening balance sheet matters.
• Support development of the Accounting Advisory service line through client delivery and practice development initiatives.
• Mentor and develop Accounting Advisory team members and ensure quality across engagements.
• Own projects from start to finish, providing timely feedback and escalation as needed.
• Collaborate with TAS leadership to identify cross-service opportunities.
• Balance technical excellence with client service in a fast-paced environment.
