Job summary

Andersen in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Associate for our Private Accounting Solutions practice to lead accounting planning and consulting for executives and entrepreneurs. You will identify complex GAAP/OCBOA issues, perform GL functions, and contribute to project management while mentoring junior staff.

Required: 2+ years in Audit/Assurance or Outsourced Accounting, a relevant degree (CPA path encouraged), and strong technology skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Audit & Assurance / Outsourced Accounting teams within an Accounting firm preferred.
  • Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD).
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred).
  • Advanced credential or desire to obtain advanced credential (i.e. CPA).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Proficient use of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Receive formal training, on the job training, direct feedback from industry leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Education

Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD)
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred)
Advanced credential or desire to obtain advanced credential (i.e. CPA)

The Role

Senior Associates in our Private Accounting Solutions practice participate in the accounting planning and consulting process for a variety of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs, and business entities.

Senior Associates Can Expect To
  • Identify complex accounting and financial reporting issues, this includes producing and reviews financial statements on a GAAP basis and Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA);

  • Perform advanced accounting research;

The Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (Audit & Assurance / Outsourced Accounting teams within an Accounting firm preferred);

    • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred).
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Compensation And Benefits

Salary Range

For individuals hired to work in Los Angeles, CA, the expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
