Job summary

Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland seeks a full-time Senior Assistant Golf Professional to lead Golf Operations and mentor the team. You will manage tournaments, member relations, instruction, and shop operations, while collaborating across departments to ensure a premier Member experience.

You will contribute to major championship preparation, help develop staff, and advance a culture of service and teamwork within our Platinum Club environment.

Qualifications

• Prior professional golf operations experience with strong private club service.
• Passion for golf, instruction, tournament operations, and member experiences.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and staff development abilities.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-first mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
• Desire to learn and advance within the golf industry.
• PGA membership or active progress through the PGA Professional Golf Management Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support tournaments, outings, and events for an active membership.
• Build strong relationships with Members through daily interaction and on-course engagement.
• Support and enhance Junior, Ladies', and Men's golf programs.
• Provide individual and group instruction utilizing our Golf Performance Center.
• Contribute to retail, buying, merchandising, and inventory management in the Golf Shop.
• Assist with budgeting, inventories, financial tracking, and special operational projects.
• Partner with Food & Beverage and other departments for a seamless Member experience.
• Participate in major championship preparation and execution, including the 2027 KPMG Women’s Championship.
