Job summary

Pebble Beach Company in Pebble Beach, CA, seeks a 1st Assistant Manager to work with the Head Golf Professional in managing Golf Starters operations and guest experience. Collaborating across departments, you’ll act as MOD in absence of Head Professional and lead staff development.

Responsibilities include supervising check-in, tee time operations, and maintaining assets, while contributing to budgeting, safety, and policy compliance to ensure a top-tier golf experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Completion of PGA Membership certification program.
• Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with golf operations and course maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Professional with staff development; recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise hourly staff.
• Ensure payroll records are maintained and performance reviews completed.
• Maintain golf shop policies and safety standards.
• Oversee check-in of green fees, golf cars, and charges; ensure accurate accounting.
• Develop and manage tournament programs, group outings, and leagues.
• Collaborate with retail and operations teams on inventory and displays.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue/expense analysis for golf services.
