Job summary

Silver Creek Modular in California is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller who will act as the technical accounting resource and hands-on contributor reporting to the CFO. The role leads monthly closes, technical accounting, financial reporting, and control improvements across manufacturing, inventory, and project operations.

The ideal candidate has deep manufacturing and project accounting knowledge, strong ERP and Excel capabilities, and a proven record of building scalable processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience focused on close, reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Experience in manufacturing cost accounting and project-based/construction accounting environments.
• Significant ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely, accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, financial schedules, and supporting workpapers.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled, supported, and reviewed on a timely basis.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unreconciled balances, and process control issues.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses for executives.
