Job summary

Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to partner with the Controller in overseeing all accounting and financial operations. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and collaborate with operations and marketing.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellence in financial analysis. A CPA or MBA is preferred, with a weekday, daytime schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience; healthcare focus is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-entity organizations and consolidated reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; risk management experience.
• Effective communication, leadership, and team-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting function: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, tax compliance.
• Ensure timely, GAAP-compliant financial reporting and statements.
• Develop policies, procedures, and internal controls to protect assets.
• Assist budgeting/forecasting with detailed financial analysis.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and CPA firms.
• Support tax planning and regulatory reporting; assist on M&A diligence.
