Job summary

MHW Search is recruiting a Senior Manager, Asset Management to drive performance and value creation for a Houston-based industrial real estate portfolio. You will own asset-level strategies, oversee finance, leasing, and capital initiatives, and lead cross-functional collaboration with portfolio management, acquisitions, and finance teams.

The role emphasizes advanced financial modeling, market insight, and leadership of a multi-asset team to optimize returns and manage risk.

Qualifications

7–15 years of experience in real estate asset management, private equity, or principal investing.
Direct experience managing industrial real estate assets preferred.
Advanced financial modeling skills.
Proficiency in Argus, Excel and Yardi Voyager.
Proven ability to lead projects, manage assets independently, and influence outcomes.
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and investors.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple assets and priorities.

Responsibilities

Own and execute asset-level business plans for a portfolio of industrial properties.
Identify and implement value creation initiatives related to leasing, operations, capital projects, and financing.
Monitor asset performance against underwriting, budgets, and forecasts; address variances.
Lead asset-level decision-making and present recommendations to senior leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across portfolio management, acquisitions, finance, legal, and capital formation.
