Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced professional to perform and supervise loan administration duties for commercial mortgage loans, focusing on collateral, borrower requests, and lender compliance. You will review operating statements, perform property inspections, and underwrite loan modifications and releases in line with internal policies.

The role requires strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, CRE loan knowledge, and proficiency in Excel/Word. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of experience with commercial real estate, with at least three years in finance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Strong working knowledge of loan accounting concepts, including interest accrual methodologies and amortization.
• Ability to read and comprehend provisions of CRE loan documents.
• Intermediate Excel and Word; basic Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Accurately produce analyses of operating statements for commercial properties and sponsors, including variances and normalization.
• Perform property inspections to verify collateral maintenance and life-safety items; report to lender.
• Analyze and underwrite borrower requests (loan mods, releases, prepayments, extensions); approve disbursements per policy limits.
• Process releases of funds from reserve accounts per policy limits; review related work products.
• Support processing of insurance loss claims; prepare recommendations for disposition and ensure proper approvals.
• Interface with property managers and borrowers for delinquency communications and default notices; prepare demand letters.
