Our brokerage, management, and construction company is looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Asset Manager to oversee the performance of our multifamily portfolio. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive asset management, operational excellence and strategic capital planning. The right candidate should have experience in property management, and construction, as well as experience in all Microsoft, Appfolio and Symmetre and accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Oversee a portfolio of multifamily assets (existing and new developments) in Chicago
· Develop and execute asset business plans, including leasing strategies, capital improvements, expense management and NOI growth initiatives
· Partner with property management teams to ensure operational excellence and resident satisfaction
· Conduct regular property performance reviews, monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
· Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to maximize asset value
· Manage lender relationships, compliance, and reporting requirements
· Oversee capital projects, renovations, and repositioning efforts
· Collaborate with acquisitions and development teams on underwriting, due diligence and asset transitions
· Prepare and present details asset reports to ownership and investors
· Stay abreast of market trends, competitive assets, and economic indicators impacting Chicago’s multifamily sector
Qualifications
5-10+ years of progressive experience in multifamily asset management
Strong financial acumen with expertise in underwriting, budgeting, and performance analysis
· Proven track record of maximizing NOI and asset value
· Deep knowledge of Chicago’s multifamily market and submarkets
· Experience managing capital projects and value-add strategies
· Exceptional leadership, communication and relationship management skills
· Proficient in real estate software platforms and excel modeling
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs
· Construction Accounting experience is preferred
· Strong ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
· Friendly and upbeat demeanor
