Job summary

Westpac Institutional Bank in New York seeks an Associate or Senior Associate for Asset Finance. The role centers on originating, structuring and executing asset-backed financing solutions for large corporate clients across sectors such as data centers, AI infrastructure, aircraft and transport assets.

You will work with New York and Europe teams, manage a growing client portfolio, build financial models, prepare credit proposals and contribute to risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–4 years of banking experience or equivalent analytical role in debt transactions.
• Exposure to structured lending and financial modelling is desirable.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work across geographies.
• Proven ability to build trust with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deal-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring and execution of asset finance transactions.
• Manage a portfolio of existing clients and support financing requirements.
• Prepare proposals, RFP responses, term sheets and credit applications.
• Build financial models and analyse transaction returns using Excel and internal systems.
• Assist in credit approvals, legal documentation and funding processes.
• Develop market knowledge through research and client presentations.
• Build relationships with clients, investors and banking partners.
• Contribute to portfolio management, policy development and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.
