Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling in Oklahoma City is seeking a Training Manager to design, coordinate, and oversee onboarding and training programs for assembly employees. You will ensure that new team members receive comprehensive orientation, safety instruction, and foundational technical skills before moving to production.

Collaborate with HR and SMEs, lead hands-on and classroom sessions, maintain training records, assess readiness, and drive improvements to training content.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing with at least 2 years in a leadership or training role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to teach hands-on skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience in developing training programs and managing training logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage onboarding and training programs for assembly employees.
• Lead and facilitate classroom and hands-on training sessions, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
• Collaborate with HR and SMEs to deliver specialized training components.
• Ensure training spaces, tools, and materials are prepared and available for each session.
• Monitor trainee progress and conduct readiness assessments prior to deployment to production areas.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and retraining as requested by Production Supervisors or employees.
• Maintain accurate training records and report completion status to management.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards during training.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend additional training or development opportunities.

Education
