Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, a premier HVAC solutions provider, seeks a Training Manager to design, coordinate and oversee onboarding and training for assembly teams. You will lead classroom and hands-on sessions, partner with HR and SMEs, and ensure readiness before deployment to production areas.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in training programs, ensuring safety and quality compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or training role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to teach hands-on skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience in developing training programs and managing training logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage onboarding and training programs for assembly employees.
• Lead and facilitate classroom and hands-on training sessions, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
• Collaborate with HR and SMEs to deliver specialized training components.
• Ensure training spaces, tools, and materials are prepared and available for each session.
• Monitor trainee progress and conduct readiness assessments prior to deployment to production areas.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and retraining as requested by Production Supervisors or employees.
• Maintain accurate training records and report completion status to management.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards during training.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend additional training or development opportunities.
• Forecast training needs based on hiring plans and production demands.
• Manage training resources, including budget, materials, and scheduling.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating best practices into training processes.
