Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior A&T Technician to support multiple work centers, build modules and dry pumps from engineered drawings, and maintain throughput and quality. The role includes mentoring technicians and ensuring adherence to procedures.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in assembly & test, and experience with hand and pneumatic tools. Works on-site in a manufacturing setting with safety and quality emphasis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent / associated experience.
• Knowledge and experience of the principles of mechanical component constructions and assembly and test.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 2 years experience of assembly & test in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan – focusing on quality and output targets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follows assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet output quality requirements.
• Support the training of team members and collaborate to drive improvement and efficiency.
• Maintaining a good working relationship with department colleagues and the supporting departments.
• Communicate and seek guidance where there are errors or difficulty in build.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembly meets quality standards.
• Train and mentor other technicians as required.
