Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Assembly Solder Technician III for the 3rd shift, onsite in Phoenix. You will assemble and repair electronic units, identify parts, and solder components to engineering specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork within a fast-paced aerospace environment. The position requires a HS Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience (or 4 years without a diploma) and the ability to work a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work 3rd shift hours: Monday – Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
• Identify correct parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly and repair.
• Solder electronic components using industry-standard techniques and tools.
• Remove suspect and failed components and install new components accurately.
• Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning.
• Measure, mix, and apply chemicals and adhesives according to safety and operational guidelines.
• Read and interpret technical data including component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
• Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
• Document clear and concisely and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize computer skills and office software applications.
• 3rd Shift: Monday – Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm for ~60 days.
