Job summary

GasTech in Sapulpa, OK is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor to lead the GasTech Assembly Department. You will plan, coordinate, and manage throughput, ensure compliance with ASME/ANSI welding standards, and drive safety and continuous improvement.

You will oversee scheduling, training, and personnel development, ensure proper welding consumables, and maintain quality with root cause investigations and corrective actions. Travel is rare, and a hands-on leader is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in process equipment assembly, with 3 years in a Code welding facility.
• Experience leading teams is preferred.
• Strong welding and fitting background.
• Ability to read P&ID and engineering documents; experience with NDE results preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred.
• Welding test passed and appropriate level of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the department workforce.
• Job, space, tooling, and equipment planning to maximize throughput.
• Establish root cause and corrective actions to eliminate quality incidents.
• Lead closed-loop corrective actions to reduce cost of poor quality.
• Interact professionally with staff, customers and vendors; limited customer contact.
• Ensure proper welding consumables are purchased, available, and marked.
• Ensure personnel are qualified to GasTech Weld Procedure Specifications.
• Provide job status and scheduling information to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions.
• Prepare, stage, and control job flow through the Department.
• Identify maintenance requirements and ensure completion on shop equipment.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and at group meetings.
