Job summary

Power/mation in Roseville, MN is seeking a full-time Lead Assembly Technician to work with the Production Supervisor and Solutions staff on electrical or mechanical sub-assemblies. The role includes training and guiding the assembly team, ensuring on-time completion, and maintaining production schedules.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of related experience, a 2-year technical degree, and strong communication and leadership skills. Occasional offsite travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 7 years related experience or comparable work experience.
• Requires a 2-year technical degree/certificate or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous experience in a Power/mation Assembly Technician position is strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Highly motivated and success driven.
• Detail orientated, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic.
• Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Displays flexibility regarding scheduling of work hours when necessary to complete a job.
• Able to travel to offsite business/customer locations if required.

Responsibilities

• Assists Supervisor in establishing schedule based on workload and experience.
• Directly responsible for the training and support of the assembly technician group.
• Mechanical assembly with the use of blueprints, schematics or written work instructions using hand tools.
• Help maintain production schedule and scheduling Technicians on a daily/weekly basis.
• Become back-up to direct supervisor
