Job summary

Xylem is seeking an assembler in Ludington, MI, to join a collaborative manufacturing team. You'll assemble and test meters and regulators that support utility and infrastructure systems, performing mechanical and electronic assembly while upholding safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years in manufacturing, with experience using basic hand tools and reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test meters, regulators, and related components.
  • Perform a variety of mechanical and electronic assembly operations.
  • Follow work instructions, production standards, and established assembly sequences.
  • Support on-time delivery by working effectively as part of the production team.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with safety guidelines and shop procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend and contribute to safety meetings and training activities.
  • Assist with inventory counts and material verification as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members across the manufacturing floor.
  • Perform other manufacturing and production duties as assigned.
