Job summary

Xylem is hiring an assembler in our facility to build and finalize components per written processes. You will solder, measure, epoxy, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues, while maintaining clean workspaces and following ISO standards.

The role also includes mentoring newer coworkers and participating in company training and volunteer programs. We value attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and the ability to read technical instructions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Production or assembly background preferred.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must read and understand written processes.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Soldering skills preferred but not required.
  • Team player and able to follow policies.
  • Willing to work overtime in a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble pieces, parts, or whole components.
  • Hand solder components.
  • Measure and epoxy components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Keep work area clean and organized per 5/6S standards.
  • Follow open shop order reports and ISO standards.
  • Mentor new manufacturing employees as needed.
  • Serve as the manufacturing cell’s point person when assigned.
  • Attend training sessions and participate in company programs.
  • Participate in volunteer activities.

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
