Career Group Search is helping a national plaintiff personal injury law firm in Midtown Manhattan recruit an experienced asbestos attorney. The role oversees all aspects of asbestos exposure cases, from intake through trial or settlement.
Travel may be required, with a hybrid office arrangement in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plaintiff-side asbestos litigation, a strong background in corporate discovery, expert development, and trial preparation, and an active New York
Qualifications
- Active New York bar license
- 5+ years in plaintiff-side asbestos litigation
- Experience with expert development and trial preparation
- Strong understanding of asbestos-related diseases and exposure pathways
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of asbestos cases from intake to settlement or verdict.
- Conduct research on asbestos exposure, corporate liability, product identification, and industry practices.
- Collaborate with experts in industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, and engineering to support causation and damages.
- Handle corporate and expert depositions, review document productions, and develop liability theories.
- Stay updated on asbestos litigation developments, regulations, and scientific studies.
