Job summary

Agentic AI is a San Francisco AI company building production AI that uses autonomous agents to understand problems, make decisions, and complete complex business workflows end-to-end.

We seek Senior / Staff-level AI Engineers to help build the core AI product or work closely with customers as Forward Deployed Engineers, taking real-world problems from discovery through to production.

Qualifications

• Strong Python / software engineering background.
• Hands-on LLM / Generative AI experience.
• Experience with agents, RAG, tool calls or AI workflows.
• Production-grade cloud engineering knowledge.
• Ability to own technically difficult problems from discovery to production.
• Bonus: LangGraph, Temporal, Kubernetes, vector databases or distributed systems.

Agentic AI | LLM Engineering | Production AI

Join a fast-growing San Francisco AI company building an AI product that uses autonomous agents to understand problems, make decisions and complete complex business workflows end-to-end.

We're open to two types of great AI engineer: someone who wants to build the core AI product internally, or someone who thrives closer to customers as a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, taking real-world problems from discovery through to production.

What you could be building

Depending on your background, you'll work across:

• Production Agentic AI and multi-agent systems
• LLM applications using OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and open-source models
• Agents with memory, reasoning, tool use and decision‑making
• RAG, retrieval and knowledge systems
• AI evaluation, guardrails and observability
• Python APIs and backend AI infrastructure
• Systems optimised for scale, latency, reliability and cost
• Taking AI solutions from prototype → production

For Forward Deployed Engineers, you'll also work directly with customers to understand complex problems, rapidly build solutions and deploy AI into real production environments.

For internal AI Engineers, you'll go deeper into the core platform, agent architecture, AI infrastructure and product capabilities used across the business.

What we’re looking for

We're looking for strong Senior / Staff-level AI Engineers who have actually built and shipped AI.

• Strong Python / software engineering
• Hands‑on LLM / Generative AI experience
• Experience with agents, RAG, tool calling or AI workflows
• Strong production and cloud engineering knowledge
• Comfortable taking ownership of technically difficult problems
• Experience with technologies such as LangGraph, Temporal, Kubernetes, vector databases or distributed systems is a bonus

You don't need to come from an FDE background. You could be an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
