Job summary

Fanatics Trading Card Game, based in Seattle, is seeking a Senior Art Director to translate the TCG’s visual vision into execution. This role owns art systems, style guides, and set-level direction while collaborating with internal teams and external artists.

You will guide art direction for major releases, mentor senior and mid-level artists, and work onsite at our Seattle office five days a week. A strong portfolio and extensive card game experience are required.

We’re looking for the most skilled and passionate talent in the games industry and beyond to help us create the best trading card games in the world.

Role Summary

The Senior Art Director is the creative authority responsible for translating the TCG’s visual vision into execution , owning art systems, style guides, and set-level direction while working hands-on with internal teams and external artists.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve visual style guides and art systems
• Lead art direction for sets, expansions, and major releases
• Provide hands-on art direction to illustrators and external vendors
• Partner closely with Design and Production to ensure cohesive delivery
• Maintain visual consistency while introducing new artistic expressions
• Mentor senior and mid-level artists and art directors

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of professional art direction or illustration experience
• Shipped experience on card games, collectibles, or premium products
• Experience working with external artist pipelines and licensors
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative range and consistency

Location & Compensation

Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be onsite, in our Seattle office five days per week.

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. This salary range is specific to Seattle and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. Seattle Salary Range

$123,050—$154,100 USD
