PETERARNELL is seeking an exceptional Art Director / Senior Designer to join our graphic design team in New York. The role requires translating high-level direction into sophisticated design systems across brand identity, presentations, digital products, and experiences.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10+ years of professional design experience with a standout portfolio, expert branding, typography, and print/digital capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of professional design experience
• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating sophisticated conceptual thinking, visual judgment, and design craft
• Expert command of branding, typography, composition, identity systems, and visual storytelling
• Strong experience across both print and digital design, including web, app, and UX/UI
• Ability to generate strong concepts as well as execute established creative direction at an exceptional level
• Exceptional speed, attention to detail, organization, and ability to perform under pressure
• Proactive, highly motivated, resourceful, resilient, and collaborative
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sophisticated creative concepts across a broad range of projects and clients
• Translate high-level creative direction into fully realized design systems and applications
• Contribute original concepts, visual ideas, and creative solutions
• Design across identity, print, presentations, campaigns, websites, apps, digital products, and experiences
• Take projects from initial concept through refinement and final production
• Maintain exceptional standards of typography, composition, detail, and craft
• Manage multiple projects and rapidly shifting priorities without compromising creative quality
• Collaborate closely with Peter Arnell, Creative Directors, senior leadership, and multidisciplinary teams
• Incorporate emerging technologies and AI tools into creative development and execution
