Job summary

Clinton High School is seeking a dedicated Senior Army Instructor (SAI) to lead our Army JROTC program. The SAI serves as the senior military instructor and department head, responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the curriculum, leadership development, and cadet operations.

This role mentors students, fosters citizenship and character, and ensures program compliance with Army Cadet Command guidance and district policies.

Qualifications

  • Retired commissioned officer, warrant officer, or reserve/national guard in good standing with the U.S. Army.
  • Eligible and certified (or able to obtain certification) as a Senior Army Instructor.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to work effectively with high school students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Must meet school district background check and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Program leadership and administration; ensure compliance with Army regulations and district policies.
  • Instruction and curriculum delivery, including drill, ceremonies and field activities.
  • Monitor cadet performance and academic progress.
  • Build partnerships with parents, community organizations, veterans groups and civic leaders.
  • Represent the JROTC program at community, school and district events.
  • Support student recruitment and retention efforts.
