Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Senior Security Officer (Armed) to provide armed, uniformed security across SJH campuses. The role reports to the Security Supervisor and requires strong threat assessment, rapid response, and detailed reporting to protect colleagues, patients, and visitors.

Requires NY armed security license or active NYPD status, five years in related security roles, and compliance with training (DCJS, IAHSS, BLS).

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in armed security, healthcare security, or law enforcement.
• Active NY armed security license or NYS police status.
• Valid NYS driver license; DCJS Basic Course for Police Officers within 1 year.
• IAHSS Basic Security Certification within one year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed, uniformed security presence on SJH campuses.
• Assess threats and respond to incidents; mitigate offenses to life and safety.
• Prepare thorough written investigations and reports; coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• De-escalate workplace violence and protect patients, staff and visitors.
