Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Senior Security Officer (Armed) to provide armed, uniformed security across St. Joseph’s Health campuses.

The role requires five years of related experience, strong knowledge of NYS law, and a calm, professional presence in emergencies. Under supervision, you will conduct investigations, complete thorough reports, coordinate with law enforcement, and ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors 24/7.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Armed Security Guard, Healthcare security or Law Enforcement.
• Must pass psychiatric evaluation prior to hire.
• Knowledge of NY Penal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
• Knowledge of use of force continuum in private security setting.
• DCJS Basic Course for Police Officers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed, uniformed security presence across SJH campuses.
• Assess threats and mitigate offenses to life and safety of staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepare thorough written investigations and reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement based on threat assessment and incidents.
• Respond to calls for service timely and appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of investigations and use of surveillance assets.
