Job summary

Heritage Werks, Inc. seeks a Senior Archivist to lead and execute complex archival initiatives across client engagements and internal teams. You will guide projects from assessment through activation, ensuring archival integrity and strategic value.

You will mentor staff, manage timelines, and collaborate with clients to translate historical content into actionable assets for modern branding and storytelling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive archival processing and project experience.
• MLIS with Archives and/or Cataloging specialization.
• Certified Archivist (CA) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex archival projects and client engagements.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Self-starter mindset; performance-driven and deadline-oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move materials.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
• Willingness to work at any Heritage Werks location

Responsibilities

• Lead archival initiatives from assessment through organization and activation.
• Conduct collection assessments, surveys, and descriptive cataloging.
• Write and review finding aids, inventories, and curate assets for digitization.
• Advise clients on archival applications for marketing, branding, storytelling.
• Mentor archivists and project staff; coordinate timelines and workflows.
• Collaborate across archival, digitization, and client teams.
