Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture or equivalent by education or experience.
• Typically 15+ years of architecture/project leadership experience.
• Licenses and Certifications: Architectural Registration strongly preferred; sustainable design accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary client relationship owner, building connections through understanding mission, goals, policies and progress.
• Manages delivery of implementation documents through all project phases, including post-occupancy evaluation.
• Collaborates on design process from programming to construction administration.
• Oversees coordination of project team interactions with internal and external participants.
• Drives lessons learned and project impact sharing within the firm.
• Oversees application of products and materials appropriate for the project.
• Integrates HKS expertise and best practices, sustainable design solutions, and resources strategically for client and community.
• Manages design solutions within project goals, budgets, time constraints and codes.
• Exerts persuasion and negotiation on critical issues across the scope of the project.
• Leads client presentations and public hearings as needed.
• Monitors project to anticipate risks and collaborates to resolve issues.
• HKS emphasizes QA/QC and advanced sustainability and building systems knowledge.
• Oversees meeting management and maintains action items log; attends on-site reviews as necessary.
• Travel will be required.
