Job summary

SERA Architects Inc. in Portland, Oregon, seeks a Designer/Architect to lead delivery of creative design solutions with project teams and a Project Architect/PM. You will combine innovative thinking with strong technical skills to shape place-based design.

In collaboration with leaders, you will advance design concepts, develop construction documents, and mentor junior staff while upholding SERA's values and project goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a 5-year B.Arch or 6-year M.Arch from an NCARB accredited program.
• Licensed Architect preferred; 8+ years of experience.
• Completion or progress toward NCARB AXP licensure.
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
• LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance design direction with project teams and clients.
• Mentor junior designers and coordinate across disciplines.
• Ensure design intent and standards throughout construction documents.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with codes and project contract requirements.
• Support marketing and business development efforts.
