Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Architectural Project Manager for Starbase Development in Texas. You will lead delivery of architectural construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings to support rapid production of Starship and the Starbase campus as the Gateway to Mars.

You will manage projects from conception through closeout, coordinating with stakeholders, engineers, and construction PMs across multiple disciplines to meet budgets and timelines on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering required.
• 7+ years of professional experience with architecture/engineering of capital projects.
• Licensed architect in Texas or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end architectural construction projects from design to close-out.
• Serve as primary contact among design teams, internal engineering teams, contractors, subcontractors, maintenance teams, end users and other stakeholders.
• Define project requirements and prepare preliminary designs including siting, massing, and programming.
• Produce conceptual 3D renders and visualizations to support project design reviews.
• Own project controls, including schedule and cost; drive projects to meet budgets and timelines.
• Write, negotiate, and manage design and construction contracts with subcontractors through close-out.
• Coordinate project designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, network, AV, and fire & life-safety engineers.
• Manage permitting and inspection processes with AHJs.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, reviews of drawings, and resolve field conflicts.
