Job summary

The Austin Company in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Architect who can provide technical guidance on complex projects and independently solve design problems.

You will develop architectural concepts, prepare working drawings, monitor progress, interact with clients, and coordinate with in-house disciplines on industrial projects. A BS/BA in Architecture and 5–8 years of drafting and design experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Architecture required.
• Typically 5–8 years of drafting/design experience.
• Experience with architectural working drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development of project design concepts and criteria.
• Organizes project information following Austin procedures.
• Designs major structures and prepares architectural drawings and documents.
• Monitors progress to ensure scope, schedule and budget adherence; reports discrepancies.
• Assists in proposal preparation.
• May supervise architectural design activities for large projects.
• Communicates with clients regularly and coordinates with internal disciplines.
