Job summary

GHD is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our US West Architecture team. You will independently deliver the full range of responsibilities on projects, applying established architectural design methods to the design, planning, management, and delivery of client-focused solutions.

You will support work across sectors, broaden technical capabilities, and strengthen project management and client engagement skills, in a hybrid work environment with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of architectural design experience with limited supervision.
• Proficiency in architectural design, BIM, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem solving, reporting, and quality-control skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, design options, and validate solutions.
• Produce coordinated architectural drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits to assess condition, identify defects, and document risks.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, business cases, and cost-benefit evaluations.
• Provide guidance on construction regulations, codes, and standards.
