Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Lead Application Architect within the Test Data Management (TDM) organization to drive enterprise-scale architecture for secure, compliant test data solutions across cloud, distributed systems, and mainframe environments.

The role collaborates with engineering, security, compliance, and product leadership to design de-identification, synthetic data generation, and self-service test data platforms, ensuring scalable and auditable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/IT/Engineering/Data Management).
• 8+ years leading architecture, data engineering, or enterprise tech solutions.
• Experience guiding large-scale data platforms and cloud-based solutions.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, data integration, databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with data privacy, governance, de-identification, or compliance frameworks.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and domains.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; navigate ambiguity.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences and enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise TDM solutions.
• Design scalable, secure solutions across multiple domains.
• Develop architecture patterns and reusable capabilities for TDM services.
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud, distributed, databases, APIs, and mainframes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve TDM capabilities.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, design sessions, and technical assessments.
• Support implementation with mentoring and guidance on decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and automation.
• Contribute to the technical strategy and long-term evolution of Humana's TDM platform.
