Job summary

Brillio is seeking a Senior Architect in the United States to lead requirement workshops and design microservices using the MEAN stack and Spring Boot. You will also guide inter-service communication via Kafka and RabbitMQ and develop REST services across the organization.

The role involves database optimization with MongoDB, ensuring code quality with Splunk, Maven, and JMeter, and collaborating on testing and deployment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 2 years IT experience.
• Experience with React, Node.js or MongoDB required.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years progressive experience; 2 years with React/Node.js/MongoDB.
• Travel and relocation may be required.

Job Duties and Requirements

• Business Requirements and Analysis
  • Participate in User requirement workshops.
  • Interface development teams for data analysis and integration.
  • Analyze and document business and technical requirements for enhancements.
  • Evaluate business requirements and functional specification documents.
  • Participate in review and base lining of Business and technical requirements.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Document (BRD).
  • Analyze, estimate and create sub tasks under assigned User stories using Jira/Rally.
• Application Design and Development
  • Design and development of micro‑services using MEAN stack and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement inter services communication using message queues like Kafka and Rabbit MQ.
  • Build Rest Web services to serve multiple applications across the organization.
  • Use Apache Camel for routing internal and external Web services in Micro service‑oriented architecture.
  • Implement service layer using Spring IOC.
  • Use Hibernate persistence framework on the backend against Oracle database.
  • Write, update and maintain software packages to handle specific jobs such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data.
• Database Management and Optimization
  • Database performance optimization by using indexing, partitioning and archiving strategies.
  • Use MongoDB for catching huge data and avoid nested API calls every time.
• Monitoring, Logging and Build Management
  • Use Splunk to capture, index and correlate real‑time data in a searchable repository and generate graphs, reports, alerts, dashboards and visualizations.
  • Use the log4j framework to implement the logging mechanism of the applications.
  • Use Maven and its repository tools to build the project and manage the dependencies using POM xml.
  • Write custom rules in Sonar Cube to improve and maintain the code quality.
• Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Use HP Load Runner and Apache JMeter to test services, measure system behavior and performance under load.
  • Create and execute unit test plans for the developed modules.
  • Perform integration testing with the other systems.
  • Support ad-hoc requests from system testing team, which can involve creation of test data, analysis of test results.
  • Keep track of the status of all defects opened during the test execution using Jira.
  • Prioritize, trouble shoot and fix defects.
• Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field plus two (2) years of IT experience.
  • Two (2) years of IT experience must include experience in React, Nodejs or MongoDB.
  • In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive experience.
  • Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive experience must include experience with React, Nodejs or MongoDB.
  • We will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
  • All experience may be acquired concurrently.
