Job summary

HGLV Architects is seeking a Senior Architect (licensed) or Senior Associate (unlicensed) to join our Huntington, NY team. This in-office role requires a degree in architecture and a minimum of 10 years of experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in ArchiCAD.

The successful candidate will contribute through all design phases, collaborate across disciplines, and support diverse commercial and residential projects on Long Island.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch).
• 10+ years of experience in architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• License or on path to licensure; LEED/NCARB a plus.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD; Mac-based work experience.

HGLV Architects (formerly Hoffman Grayson Architects LLP) is an award-winning architecture and interiors firm based in Huntington, New York. Since the firm’s founding in 1981, we have established a diverse practice with hundreds of successfully completed commercial, mixed-use, and single-family residential projects across Long Island. HGLV focuses on design excellence and a high level of professional service. Our 17-person team is comprised of talented licensed architects, interior designers, LEEP APs, and architectural graduates.

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of:

Senior Architect (licensed) / Senior Associate (unlicensed)

Qualifications:

• Accredited degree in architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch)

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (or equivalent)
• Mac-based experience preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Work experience in all phases of architectural projects, including production of construction drawings
• Working knowledge of commercial and residential building codes
• Strong understanding of building construction
• Architectural license, or on path to licensure
• Additional professional certifications (LEED, NCARB, etc) a plus
• Kind, friendly and willing to assist with a variety of tasks to support the team
