Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Architect (Licensed Building Architect) for a remote US-based Data Centers role. Lead design for hyperscale and colocation projects from concept to construction, ensuring performance, scalability, and code compliance.

Partner with internal and external teams to deliver integrated solutions and mentor junior staff. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Architecture, an active US architectural license, and experience with BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Architect (Licensed Building Architect), Data Centers - Remote (U.S.) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will lead architectural design efforts for hyperscale and colocation data center projects, from concept through construction, with a focus on mission-critical performance and scalability. The successful candidate will partner closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and permitting authorities to deliver integrated solutions that support operational efficiency and technical excellence. This is an opportunity to shape complex projects within a fast-paced environment where precision, coordination, and code compliance are essential.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for hyperscale cloud data center projects from concept through construction
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to create integrated design solutions
• Develop and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for compliance
• Manage coordination with consultants, contractors, and permitting authorities
• Serve as the architectural subject matter expert for operational efficiency and scalability
• Mentor junior architects and designers to foster technical excellence
• Support business development and proposal writing activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
• Proven track record in colocation and hyperscale data center projects
• Knowledge of building codes and mission-critical infrastructure standards
• Proficiency in BIM ACC (Revit), AutoCAD, and related design tools
• 5+ years of experience with hyperscale client standards and colocation delivery models preferred
• Active U.S. Architectural license preferred
• LEED accreditation or equivalent credentials preferred
